What would you do with $1.4 billion?

For some, a budget that large seems unimaginable. A billion dollars could support decades of storage in the public cloud at a large company or high-end home office equipment for the entire business.

But with big money comes more hoops to jump through. Consider the federal government: A small- to mid-sized agency has an IT budget near the billions, but red tape to work around and close public scrutiny slow it down.

Through a thorough analysis of the Department of Interior's budget, CIO Dive distilled lessons learned from government IT spend applicable to the enterprise. Read more here in our Deep Dive into 2021 IT spending trends.
