June​ 28,​ 2021 Breaking News By Emma Liem Beckett Fat Brands has acquired Global Franchise Group, owner of five QSR brands including Round Table Pizza, Hot Dog on a Stick and Great American Cookies, for $442.5 million. The deal is expected to close by the end of July, and marks the second acquisition Fat Brands has made during the pandemic. It bought Johnny Rockets for $25 million in August 2020. With this acquisition, Fat Brands will have more than 2,000 franchised and company-owned restaurants around the world with combined annual system-wide sales of approximately $1.4 billion.
