Aug. 30, 2021 | Today's news and insights for transport leaders
Note from the editor
The Advanced Clean Transportation Expo is underway in Long Beach, California. This is the first trucking conference I have attended since I have been at Transport Dive, as COVID-19 struck shortly before our launch last year.
When we discussed what would be among the first conferences Transport Dive would attend in 2021, I chose ACT Expo among other bigger events. I last attended ACT Expo in April 2019, and I was impressed by how many OEMs were there to showcase their green heavy-duty trucks.
The conference usually gives fleets, OEMs and suppliers a good idea of what technology is coming down the pike. And often, fleets and OEMs announce what types of green tech they will use. Daimler Trucks told attendees in 2019 it would focus on electric trucks, while others showed off trucks that use hydrogen. There are sure to be more such announcements, so follow us all week by checking our website and our Twitter page.
