Nov. 24, 2021 | Today's news and insights for finance leaders Note from the editor Many CFOs are on the frontlines of supply chain issues. If it’s not a problem with suppliers it’s a problem with transportation.
As we look forward to Thanksgiving tomorrow, we’re reminded how fortunate we are to have as much as we do.
Because of disruptions from the pandemic, shelves in some cases are more bare this year than we’re used to. But hardworking people are doing their part to keep our dinner tables full.
Earlier this year we wrote about a CFO whose company helps suppliers, manufacturers and transportation companies work together more nimbly to keep supply chains moving. We can be confident the people behind innovative companies like this one won’t stop until they find solutions — to this problem as well as the problem waiting for us around the corner.
Meanwhile, our friends, neighbors and family members are doing what they can to make this year’s holiday table possible by carrying on with their work, on the farm, in the factory, on the road and in the stores.
We at CFO Dive hope you have a good Thanksgiving with your family and friends. The newsletter will be on hiatus for the rest of this week and resume its regular schedule on Monday.
