WHAT: At the request of 15 Member States, a Special Session of the WHO Executive Board will be held. It will consider the health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territory. The agenda of this Special Session will include only one agenda item. The provisional agenda for the Special Session of the Executive Board will be available in document EBSS/7/1 at the following link: https://apps.who.int/gb/e/e_ebss7.html as it becomes available in the six official languages. WHEN: Sunday 10 December 2023 – from 9:30 to 12:30 CET and 14:30 to 17:30 CET with provision for an additional session from 18:30 to 21:30 CET if necessary. WHERE: WHO Headquarters, Geneva, in a hybrid format. WHO: The Executive Board is composed of 34 members technically qualified in the field of health. Members are elected for three-year terms. The main functions of the Board are to give effect to the decisions and policies of the World Health Assembly, to advise it and generally to facilitate its work, as well as to prepare the agenda of the next World Health Assembly.
