Ahead of the Lunar New Year festivities, and given the ongoing reports of avian influenza outbreaks in domestic and wild birds in Asia, as well as continual sporadic reports of human infection with avian influenza, WHO issued Avian influenza and Lunar New Year festivities: vigilance and precautions with advice to the public and health practitioners.
