Click here  Tuesday, 13 August 2024 MEDIA ADVISORY Provisional list of participants in Emergency Committee regarding mpox Please find the Provisional List of Participants International Health Regulations (2005) Emergency Committee regarding the upsurge of mpox 2024 First Meeting -- 14 August 2024 (scroll down for link under "Members and Advisors") Reminder: The first meeting of the Emergency Committee (EC) convened by the WHO Director-General under the International Health Regulations (2005) (IHR) regarding the upsurge of mpox 2024 has been set for Wednesday, 14 August 2024, from 12:00 pm CEST. It will be a closed, virtual meeting. The EC will provide its views to the WHO Director-General on whether the event constitutes a public health emergency of international concern -- and if so, it will advise on the temporary recommendations proposed by the WHO Director-General on how to better prevent and reduce the spread of the disease and manage the global public health response.
