Tuesday, 09 December Virtual media briefing on traditional medicine Ahead of the second WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine, to be held from 17 to 19 December 2025 in New Delhi, India and online, WHO experts will brief the journalists on WHO’s work on traditional medicine, progress made since the first Summit in 2023 and how the upcoming Summit will mobilize support for the implementation of the Global traditional medicine strategy 2025–2034. Health for all is a prerequisite for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. On UHC Day, WHO calls for urgent action to implement financial protection measures and eliminate out-of-pocket health costs for those most in need--including people with low incomes or chronic conditions.
