Click here  Monday, 26 January 2026 MEDIA ADVISORY 158th Session of the WHO Executive Board The 158th session of the WHO Executive Board (EB158) will be held from 2-7 February 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland. Schedule · Opening: o The session will open at 09.30 CET on Monday, 2 February. o WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is expected to address the EB and present his report. · Working hours: o See the preliminary daily timetable. Issues to be discussed This EB session includes discussions on WHO governance reform; the financing and implementation of the Programme Budget; updates on human resources, including the prioritization and realignment process in 2025; reform of the global health architecture and the UN80 initiative; notifications by two Member States of their intention to withdraw from the Organization; and draft resolutions and decisions proposed by Member States. The Board will also hear reports of the Director-General on WHO’s work in health emergencies, including on the response in 2025 to 43 health emergencies across 74 countries and territories; health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territory, including east Jerusalem; and WHO’s support to the health sector in Ukraine. Reports on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, mental health, communicable diseases, universal health coverage, primary health care, substandard and falsified medical products, antimicrobial resistance, and digital health, among others, will also be on the agenda.
