When we talk about electric trucks, the conversation usually ends with, "But what about infrastructure?" That's one of the reasons Electric Island, which opened last week, is noteworthy.
It's an electric-truck charging site from Daimler Trucks North America and Portland General Electric, located across the street from DTNA headquarters in Oregon. Electric Island has eight charging stations, the majority of which the public can use, and serves as a place to study truck charging. PGE called it a "first-of-its-kind" endeavor.
