Note from the editor

The supply chain will never be the same.

A dramatic statement? Perhaps. But it might be true.

The American Trucking Associations' Management Conference & Exhibition came at quite an interesting time — 24/7 supply chains, an equipment shortage, historic labor constraints. There was plenty for attendees to discuss, and presenters were tasked with giving their best guesses of when the supply chain would regain normalcy.

National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council Executive Director Gail Rutkowski's response stood out to me:

"In my mind, we shouldn't go back to normal, because normal isn't working right now. I think we need to come up with a new normal."

Do you agree? What do you think that new normal should be? My inbox is always open.

Take care,
